Some United Airlines Flights in Economy No Longer Earns 100% Miles on KrisFlyer

Taking effect on 01 October 2017, all Economy class flights on United Airlines will no longer earn 100% miles on Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer program. As shown in the image below, all fare classes ticketed for Economy flights use to earn 100% of the actual miles flown (great for SIN-HKG flights for passengers in Singapore) but all eligible Economy flights now earn only 25% - 100% of actual miles flown.

Singapore Airlines extends Book the Cook Service to Flights from Brisbane and Perth

Singapore Airlines will be extending the Book the Cook service for all eligible flights exiting Brisbane and Perth on or after 01 October 2017 - orders can be made online from 25 September 2017. While passengers traveling in premium cabins from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia have already been able to take advantage of this service since a while ago, it is definitely interesting to see how Singapore Airlines is starting to develop the BNE and PER routes with more premium offerings - it will also be operating flights on the Airbus A350-900 to and from Brisbane in coming months.

According to the latest report by the Australian Business Traveller, Singapore Airlines will be unveiling the brand new Suites and Business Class product (which is expected to be retrofitted to most of Singapore Airlines' existing A380 fleet) on 02 November 2017. These products are due for a refresh after being in operation for over 10 years and it will be exciting to see how it contrasts with the existing Suites and Business Class seats.
