Previously known as The Green Market, TGM is Plaza Premium Lounge's only airport lounge in Terminal 2 of the Singapore Changi Airport. TGM is probably one of the best-kept secrets in Changi Airport where airport lounges are concerned - it serves a mixture of Japanese and Korean Cuisine (as well as healthy options) here and it really resembles more of a restaurant than a typical airport lounge. TGM is located on Level 3, next to DFS's Whiskey House in Terminal 2 and it is accessible (and free!) to anyone with a valid Priority Pass Card or Plaza Premium Lounge access - TGM is also open to public and there is a rather extensive a la carte menu (chargeable) to select from.

The five-times-weekly services on Scoot to Yangon, Myanmar will be taken over by the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, SilkAir from 29 October 2017. This will boost SilkAir's operations to Yangon to 15 non-stop flights each week. Parent company Singapore Airlines also operates daily services to Yangon.

Like most miles that you can accrue on an airline, KrisFlyer Miles are best used for Business Class flights and above - it allows you to travel on an aspiration-class of service that you may not necessarily want to pay for. For example, flying on Suites is extremely attainable with careful planning and spending (charging your expenses carefully is not the same as being frugal - it is about using the right credit card!).

After months of anticipation, SilkAir has finally unveiled the brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8 today with improved seats, new sky interior (which changes colour according to the time of day) and quieter engines for greater comfort. SilkAir plans to retire the older Airbus A320s and A319s eventually and replace them with the newer Boeing 737-800s as well as the Boeing 737 MAX 8s.

Following the announcement of seasonal flights to Sapporo and Harbin this upcoming winter, Scoot will be launching ticket sales to Honolulu (the airline's second long-haul destination after Athens) tomorrow. The new service between Singapore and Honolulu also marks Scoot's maiden entry into the United States of America.

Singapore Airlines and Grab has just announced a partnership that will provide customers with a more seamless travel experience moving forward. The mobile applications of both companies will feature integrated components to allow customers traveling to the airport in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to book a Grab ride easily. More importantly, users will also be able to redeem their GrabRewards Reward Points for KrisFlyer Miles!

Taking effect on 01 October 2017, all Economy class flights on United Airlines will no longer earn 100% miles on Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer program. As shown in the image below, all fare classes ticketed for Economy flights use to earn 100% of the actual miles flown (great for SIN-HKG flights for passengers in Singapore) but all eligible Economy flights now earn only 25% - 100% of actual miles flown.

Everyone remembers their very first First Class experience (especially so if you were traveling in Suites) - I remember mine very vividly when I flew from Singapore to Auckland (even though I only wrote about it on the Auckland to Singapore segment) after taking a Business Class flight from Hong Kong to Singapore a couple of hours before that. Apart from the amazing cabin experience as well as the customary visit to The Private Room which is located inside the SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 of the Changi Airport, one can also look forward to a more extensive (and in many cases, expensive) selection with 'Book the Cook' (BTC) menu.
