A Comparison of Suites/First Class and Business Class Book the Cook Meals on Singapore Airlines (from Singapore)

Everyone remembers their very first First Class experience (especially so if you were traveling in Suites) - I remember mine very vividly when I flew from Singapore to Auckland (even though I only wrote about it on the Auckland to Singapore segment) after taking a Business Class flight from Hong Kong to Singapore a couple of hours before that. Apart from the amazing cabin experience as well as the customary visit to The Private Room which is located inside the SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 of the Changi Airport, one can also look forward to a more extensive (and in many cases, expensive) selection with 'Book the Cook' (BTC) menu.

Singapore Airlines extends Book the Cook Service to Flights from Brisbane and Perth

Singapore Airlines will be extending the Book the Cook service for all eligible flights exiting Brisbane and Perth on or after 01 October 2017 - orders can be made online from 25 September 2017. While passengers traveling in premium cabins from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia have already been able to take advantage of this service since a while ago, it is definitely interesting to see how Singapore Airlines is starting to develop the BNE and PER routes with more premium offerings - it will also be operating flights on the Airbus A350-900 to and from Brisbane in coming months.

Comparing Singapore Airlines' 70th Anniversary Amenity Kits - Black and Grey

When Singapore Airlines first unveiled the 70th Anniversary Amenity Kit back in May 2017 (but only started handing them out from July 2017), it took frequent flyers by surprise - known for providing amenity kits only in First Class and Suites Class, Singapore Airlines announced that it will be giving out limited edition amenity kits for all Business, First Class and Suites Class flights exiting Singapore (with the exception of Kuala Lumpur). Passengers in First Class and Suites Class who are eligible for the far more impressive Salvatore Ferragamo amenity kits will receive both the Salvatore Ferragamo branded one as well as the special anniversary amenity kit.

Trip Report: Singapore Airlines Business Class A350-900 - SIN to HKG (Singapore to Hong Kong)

As you may already know, flying to Hong Kong from Singapore is one of the cheapest ways to experience the Suites Class product on Singapore Airlines - just 37,500 KrisFlyer miles one-way. Since I have previously experienced the Suites Class product and have another one planned towards the end of the year, I have decided to check out the A350-900's New Business Class product on SQ856 instead.

Trip Report: Singapore Airlines Business Class A380-800 - SIN to PEK (Singapore to Beijing)

I traveled to Beijing in China for the first time recently and was booked in a codeshare flight on Singapore Airlines (SQ802) from SIN to PEK in Business Class. Since it operated out of Terminal 3 of Changi Airport, I took the opportunity to pick-up a StarHub prepaid card (which is great for roaming overseas for cheap) before heading to the SilverKris Lounge for some breakfast and Champagne (even though it was 7:00AM in the morning). Check out my trip review of SQ802 from Singapore to Beijing in Business Class.

Trip Report: EVA Air Royal Laurel (Business Class) 777-300ER - SIN to TPE (Singapore to Taipei)

On my latest trip to Taipei in April 2017, I tried out the famous Royal Laurel Class on EVA Air - this is essentially the airline's signature business class cabin. Ever since the devaluation of KrisFlyer Miles in March 2017, redeeming KrisFlyer Miles for partner airlines seem to make more sense as it allows you to try a different product without any penalty (you used to be able to save 15% off required miles for redemption on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir metal). Since Singapore Airlines operate the A330-300 (with a 2-2-2 arrangement) from Singapore to Taipei, I have decided to redeem my KrisFlyer Miles on EVA Air's Royal Laurel Class (1-2-1 arrangement) instead (find out how ExpertFlyer can help you find award space effectively).

Trip Report: Singapore Airlines Business Class A330-300 - SIN to DPS (Singapore to Denpasar)

There are no lack of flights out of Singapore to Bali but I wanted a short weekend getaway last minute and the fares were pretty astonishing for a 2.5 hours flight. Since the KrisFlyer miles devaluation is imminent, I have decided to fork out some miles to redeem for a flight from Singapore to Denpasar even though I generally do not like to use them on short-haul flights. Check out my experience on Singapore Airlines's Business Class on-board the A330-300 below!
