The Shutterwhale's 2019 Complete List of New Hotel Openings in Singapore

With only less than three weeks left in 2018, it is important to look ahead to the new year and start planning for all those new hotel openings in Singapore. While 2017 was a great year for travellers since there were a number of iconic hotel openings that year, 2018 was a fairly unexciting one. There will be an increase in supply of hotel rooms in the Luxury and Mid-tier segments in 2019 and there will also be a couple of new brand introductions into the Singapore market.

NEW HOTELS OPENING IN SINGAPORE (2019)

1. Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon - 28 February 2019

The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon will become the fourth Holiday Inn Express property to open in Singapore. According to the address of this property, it should be occupying the space (and most likely the building) of where Pinnacle Hotel used to be. At the time of writing, the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon will require only 20,000 IHG Rewards Points for a Reward Night - this is the same number of points that the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong requires. There also appears to a slightly larger room type here that contains both a Queen-size bed as well as a Single (for a premium).

2. YOTELAIR Singapore Changi - Q1 2019

The brand new lifestyle destination, Jewel Changi Airport is expected to open in early 2019. 3. Village Hotel at Sentosa - 01 April 2019

Far East Hospitality will be opening three new hotels in Sentosa in the year of 2019. Slated to open on 01 April 2019, the Village Hotel at Sentosa will be a mid-tier property that offers unique experiences such as themed pool zones, lush gardens as well as plenty of outdoor spaces for both leisure and business travellers. The Sun View Deck located on property will also provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and events with stunning sunset views as well as the daily evening fireworks from Wings of Time.

4. The Outpost Hotel - 01 April 2019

The second property that Far East Hospitality will open on the island of Sentosa is The Outpost Hotel which is set to become the island’s trendy getaway spot for young adults and couples. The design of The Outpost Hotel is inspired by the heritage of Sentosa as a colonial military base - all 193 guest rooms here reflect a stylish interpretation of colonial black and white design, with crisp lines and a sharply contrasting palette. 5. The Barracks Hotel - August 2019

REFURBISHED HOTELS OPENING IN SINGAPORE (2019)

1. Raffles Singapore - 2019

After a prolonged period of restoration, the Raffles Singapore will finally reopen its doors in 2019. The restored property is expected to feature 115 suites (with the introduction of new suite categories), vibrant lifestyle experiences and refreshed dining concepts. The all-suite hotel will be introducing three new suite categories post-reopening: Residence Suites, Promenade Suites and the Studio Suites.
