American Express Platinum Charge Card Increases Referral Bonus to 60,000 MR Points (50% More) for Referrer

From now until 31 October 2019, you will get 50% more Membership Rewards (MR) Points when you refer a friend for The Platinum Card from American Express - this brings the total up to 60,000 MR Points (equivalent to at least 37,500 miles) per successful referral. Referees will continue to get 40,000 MR Points (equivalent to at least 25,000 miles) if they are referred by an existing member - this is on top of all the welcome bonuses and sign-up gifts that you will get with American Express so there is really zero reason not to get The Platinum Card using a referral link.

Now you must know that The Platinum Card comes with an annual fee of S$1,712 and the annual income requirement for this charge card is at S$200,000 officially (but I personally know at least a handful of people who have been approved for significantly lesser). Despite the high annual fee, it does come with plenty of perks that will very quickly offset the 'cost' of The Platinum Card. There are also plenty of amazing offers that you will be able to take advantage of throughout the year as a Platinum Member and these perks include (but definitely not limited to): discounted flights (actual discounts!), hotel perks, plenty of statement credits, free hotel stays (e.g. The Outpost Hotel) and cool events.

If you are thinking about getting the card and would like to pick up some additional miles along the way, using my unique referral link for The Platinum Card will give you 40,000 more Membership Rewards (MR) points (equivalent to at least 25,000 miles) on top of the welcome offer of 75,000 MR points (equivalent to at least 46,875 miles).
