The American Express Platinum Card is hands-down, my favourite credit card in Singapore this year - while the metal card comes with a S$1,712 annual fee each year, there are plenty of perks that come with it. In recognition of the global pandemic, American Express has also awarded Platinum Members with a S$500 statement credit earlier this year and The American Express Platinum af'FAIR 2020 comes with two bottles of Ruinart Champagne this year for just 20,000 MR Points.

American Express typically organise a Christmas Market in ION Orchard during this festive season where Centurion and Platinum Members get to play the claw machine for attractive prizes but in view of the current situation, they have decided to bring this experience online. There will be no claw machine in 2020 but Platinum Members can play the Jump Jump Reindeer online game - attractive prizes will be awarded to the top 10 scorers each week:

While it will not be an easy task to make it into the Top 10 (unless you are a prodigy at the 'Flappy Bird' game), it certainly is comforting to see American Express going above and beyond what is typically expected (especially in times like these). In collaboration with Ripple Root, Centurion and Platinum Members will also be able to receive exclusive gift wrapping sets that have been specially prepared this holiday season. Centurion Members will have their first gift wrapping set delivered to their mailing address while Platinum Members will be able to collect it at the Plaza Singapura Extension on Level 4 (no minimum spend is required). Subsequently, every S$50 spent on your Centurion or Platinum Card (up to 2 combined receipts) will get you an extra gift wrapping set (up to three sets per member per day).
The collection point is will be at 68 Orchard Road, Plaza Singapura Extension, #04-60/61, Singapore 238839 and it will be opened from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM from 4-23 December 2020 daily.
