The Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X Credit Card has gotten quite a bit of attention again lately - there is an existing 100% transfer bonus on Emirates Skywards miles with this metal card and yesterday, it appears that all cardholders can now enjoy up to 3 miles per dollar on all foreign currency (non-SGD) spend from now until 30 June 2020 so long a minimum spend of S$2,000 is met in each promotional period.

The X Card typically earns 3 and 5 points per dollar for local and foreign currency respectively - these 360° Rewards Points convert into 1.2 and 2.0 miles per dollar correspondingly. Under this new promotion, all cardholders will be able to earn 7.5 points per dollar (3 miles per dollar) on eligible foreign currency (non-SGD) spend made in each promotional period, so long a minimum spend of S$2,000 (regardless of whether it is in SGD or non-SGD spend) is met:

  • 24 February 2020 to 31 March 2020

  • 1-30 April 2020

  • 1-31 May 2020

  • 1-30 June 2020

Once a minimum spend of S$2,000 is met in each one of the aforementioned periods, you will earn 3 miles per dollar on all eligible foreign currency spend in each qualifying period - there is no cap to the number of miles that you can earn from this accelerated earn rate. If you do not currently hold the card and would like to apply for the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X Credit Card, applying it via SingSaver as a new-to-card customer before the end of 29 February 2020, will get you a pair of Apple AirPods for free.
