OCBC VOYAGE Card Offering 2.5 Miles Per Dollar On Dining in August 2020 - Capped at First S$1,000

From 1-31 August 2020, OCBC VOYAGE Cardholders will be able to earn 12.5 VOYAGE Miles per S$5 (2.5 mpd) on eligible dining transactions (capped at S$1,000). No registration is required and all cardholders in good standing will be able to enjoy this accelerated earn rate in August on eligible dining transactions (specific Merchants Category Codes can be found below).

As a quick reminder, VOYAGE Miles are awarded in blocks of S$5 per transaction (so spending S$4.99 will get you nothing at all) and the bonus VOYAGE Miles will be credited into eligible accounts within 2 calendar months after the promotion has ended. Dining transactions must be made under the following Merchant Category Codes for the purpose of this promotion:

• MCC 5811: Caterers

• MCC 5812: Eating Places, Restaurants

• MCC 5814: Fast Food Restaurants

As mentioned earlier, all eligible VOYAGE Cardholders (including those that hold the OCBC Premier VOYAGE, Bank of Singapore VOYAGE, and OCBC Premier Private Client VOYAGE cards) will be able to enjoy a bonus on eligible dining spend (capped at the first S$1,000). If you hold a regular OCBC VOYAGE Card, you will typically earn 6.5 VOYAGE Miles (1.3 mpd) per S$5 on eligible local currency transactions but under this promotion in the month of August 2020, you will earn an additional 6 VOYAGE Miles per S$5 (1.2 mpd) on eligible dining transactions made in the same period.

Now there are credit cards in Singapore that will give you 4 miles per dollar on dining (if contactless payment methods are accepted) but in the event that it is not, getting 2.5 miles per dollar on the OCBC VOYAGE Card is not a bad option in the month of August if you are planning on dining out.
