Conrad Centennial Singapore to Remain Closed for Leisure Stays as SDF Arrangements Are Extended Through 4 March 2022
Last month, Hilton Honors announced the status extensions for elite members through March 2023 (regardless of 2021 activity), and with more Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs) being announced in recent weeks, it might be worth noting that the Conrad Centennial Singapore has once again been extended as an SHN-dedicated Facility (SDF) hotel until 04 March 2022 by the government.
For international travellers planning on visiting Singapore, this means that the Conrad Centennial Singapore will not be accepting any leisure bookings until 05 March 2022 (SDF arrangements are subject to extensions). For the sake of clarification, the Conrad Centennial Singapore remains open for F&B (dine-in and takeout) during this period. With the existing Hilton Singapore becoming the voco Orchard Singapore in 2022, travellers planning on visiting Singapore under the VTL arrangements will have the new Hilton Singapore Orchard as the only option if they choose to stay in a property within the Hilton chain. At the time of writing, the Hilton Singapore Orchard will only start accepting reservations from 01 April 2022.
Many luxury properties in Singapore has been booked out completely by the government for SDF purposes - they are used to house residents and travellers affected by the COVID-19 situation. As such, travellers with elite statuses in global hotel loyalty program should check to make sure that the available properties in Singapore during their intended visit are indeed open for leisure bookings.
Planning a beach day can seem simple, but unexpected issues often arise. Mornington Peninsula’s beaches are popular, which means dealing with potential crowds, fluctuating weather, and poor preparation can easily ruin your outing. Arriving late might lead to parking challenges, and picking the wrong beach can limit your planned activities. Many forget important items that could make or break their beach experience, leading to stress and missed opportunities for relaxation.
