Earn KrisFlyer Miles on Grab Rides - Singapore Airlines and Grab Partnership

Singapore Airlines and Grab has just announced a partnership that will provide customers with a more seamless travel experience moving forward. The mobile applications of both companies will feature integrated components to allow customers traveling to the airport in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to book a Grab ride easily. More importantly, users will also be able to redeem their GrabRewards Reward Points for KrisFlyer Miles!

Some United Airlines Flights in Economy No Longer Earns 100% Miles on KrisFlyer

Taking effect on 01 October 2017, all Economy class flights on United Airlines will no longer earn 100% miles on Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer program. As shown in the image below, all fare classes ticketed for Economy flights use to earn 100% of the actual miles flown (great for SIN-HKG flights for passengers in Singapore) but all eligible Economy flights now earn only 25% - 100% of actual miles flown.

Everyone remembers their very first First Class experience (especially so if you were traveling in Suites) - I remember mine very vividly when I flew from Singapore to Auckland (even though I only wrote about it on the Auckland to Singapore segment) after taking a Business Class flight from Hong Kong to Singapore a couple of hours before that. Apart from the amazing cabin experience as well as the customary visit to The Private Room which is located inside the SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 of the Changi Airport, one can also look forward to a more extensive (and in many cases, expensive) selection with 'Book the Cook' (BTC) menu.

Singapore Airlines extends Book the Cook Service to Flights from Brisbane and Perth

Singapore Airlines will be extending the Book the Cook service for all eligible flights exiting Brisbane and Perth on or after 01 October 2017 - orders can be made online from 25 September 2017. While passengers traveling in premium cabins from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia have already been able to take advantage of this service since a while ago, it is definitely interesting to see how Singapore Airlines is starting to develop the BNE and PER routes with more premium offerings - it will also be operating flights on the Airbus A350-900 to and from Brisbane in coming months.

First Flight to Depart from Changi Airport's Terminal 4 on 31 October 2017 - Including List of Airlines

The brand new Terminal 4 of Changi Airport will officially commence operations on 31 October 2017 (Tuesday) and the first arrival and departing flights here will be operated by Cathay Pacific to and from Hong Kong (CX650 and CX659 respectively). Changi Airport Group (CAG) has begun collaborating with airport partners since October 2016 to ensure smooth operation in Singapore's latest airport terminal. If you intend to travel between between Australia or New Zealand and London (via Singapore, Dubai or Perth) or Europe (via Dubai), Singapore or Dubai over the next year, it may be a good idea to book between now and 08 September 2017 to benefit from double Qantas Points. Scoot to offer Seasonal Flights from Singapore to Sapporo and Harbin this Winter

Not afraid of the cold and want to head to winter wonderland this year? Scoot will be flying directly from Singapore to Sapporo (in Japan) and Harbin (in China) from November and December respectively. The service will be operated by the airline's 787 Dreamliners on a seasonal basis until 11 February 2018 to help Singaporeans get there faster during the peak winter season.
