Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Taipei

I have been to Taipei many times (even before I started writing) and I love the city for the delicious street food, orderliness and friendly people. In fact, I am writing a whole series of food articles around Taipei that you should definitely check out! There is no lack of boutique and affordable hotels around Taipei but if you are looking for an international brand, I may very well have stumbled upon the best one in this beautiful city - the Grand Hyatt Taipei.

Hotel Review: Pan Pacific Orchard Road Serviced Suites

More and more Singaporeans have turned to staycations as a solution to get away from the regularity of day to day life. As an avid staycation-goer myself, I rely largely on this little breaks to get myself in tune with the things that matter to me most. As many of you may already know, I am a huge brand supporter of Pan Pacific and I have stayed in the Pan Pacific Singapore and Pan Pacific Orchard (alongside PARKROYAL on Beach Road) multiple times, with the former property being the most frequent - enough to maintain my Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) status year to year. If you are observant enough, you will notice that Singapore has a whole line of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites and I was lucky enough to get invited to check out the Pan Pacific Orchard Road Serviced Suites that is located right above the Somerset MRT.

Hotel Review: Grand Park City Hall (Crystal Club Superior)

The most iconic Grand Park hotel in Singapore is probably the one that is directly above Abercrombie & Fitch in Orchard Road. However, not many people (me included) know that the Grand Park City Hall located in well, City Hall, used to be the Grand Plaza Parkroyal Singapore hotel. The Grand Park City Hall is just minutes away from City Hall MRT, making it an excellent base to explore the area surrounding the hotel. If you are interested in photography or gadgets, you are also a stone's throw away from Funan IT Mall (which you should go instead of Sim Lim Square).

In fact, due to its proximity, it is very possible for you visit even if you are not driving - simply take a bus into Johor Bahru and then flag a taxi from there (less than RM5 on meter) or if you are feeling a little adventurous, take a walk!  Check out my review of the Executive Room here!

Hotel Review: PARKROYAL on Beach Road (Premier Room)

This year the PARKROYAL on Beach Road has unveiled their newly refurbished Premier Rooms. Having found a really good rate on an OTA, I decided to give the Premier Rooms a go during the Lunar New Year break (particularly because I did not have any visiting to do too).  Even though I personally value a bath tub highly during a staycation, I think the newly refurbished rooms are truly a breath of fresh air. Read more about my experience at the PARKROYAL on Beach Road's new Premier Rooms!

Hotel Review: Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay

Once the most crucial center of trade in Singapore, Clarke Quay has transformed drastically over the last few decades and has evolved into a place for dining, shopping and even adventure today. Check out my stay in a Premier Room (with Premier Lounge access) at this strategically-placed family and business hotel.
