Hotel Review: Capella Singapore (Two Bedroom Garden Villa) - Family and Pet-Friendly Luxury Hotel in Sentosa

Located on Sentosa Island, the Capella Singapore is arguably Singapore's most luxurious hotel. It is also one of three hotels in Singapore to receive the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating in 2017. What a lot of people do not realise however is that the Capella Singapore is also one of the rare few hotels in Singapore that is pet-friendly. Check out my experience in a Two-Bedroom Garden Villa here at this property.

Hotel Review: Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei (Horizon Club Premier Room)

Taipei is slightly over four hours away from Singapore by plane and it offers some of the most delicious food and nicest people that I have ever met in my life. When I visited Taipei in April 2017, I caught flight BR226 from Singapore and I was seriously impressed by the Royal Laurel product on EVA Air - the seats on the 777-300ER were extremely spacious and personalisation of service is truly something to remember. I was also excited to check out the tallest hotel in Taipei city - the Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei which is famous for having the best view of Taipei 101 and the surrounding city.

Hotel Review: W Taipei (Wonderful Room) - Luxurious Hotel near Taipei City Hall Station

Located in the Xinyi district, W Taipei is one of the most iconic hotels in the city of Taipei - it is also just a stroll away from Taipei City Hall Station, making it easily accessible via the Taipei Metro. There are no lack of luxury hotels in Taipei but if you are looking for a property that belongs to an international chain, you will not find any strong contenders from IHG or Hilton. On the other hand, you will find a number of properties from Starwood and Marriott here - hotels like the W Taipei offers a bold and distinctive decor that is not overly done (unlike some W Hotels in the world) but equally memorable.

Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Taipei (Grand Suite) - Luxurious Hotel next to Taipei 101

The Grand Hyatt Taipei is one of my favourite hotels and in my opinion, it is one of the best luxury hotels in Taipei. When I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Taipei in 2015, I stayed in a Grand Deluxe Room with an impressive view of the iconic Taipei 101. The presence of international hotel chains in Taipei is rather limited - you will not find anything from Hilton, Accor or IHG in the city and because of that (and other reasons), room rates at internationally-branded hotel chains can be rather costly. Check out my stay in a Grand Suite of the Grand Hyatt Taipei!

Hotel Review: Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel (Studio Room)

The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has one of the best locations in Singapore - it is right smack in Orchard Road and it is connected to the MRT station via underground pathways and shopping malls. I have previously stayed here in an Executive Room and the beautiful Pool Terrace (the latter room-type is of my favourites in Singapore) and since I have gotten my SPG Gold status linked to Marriott Rewards Gold (which gives a guaranteed lounge access), I have decided to book a stay here on one weekend to check out the new Executive Lounge.

Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (Club Marina Bay Room)

The Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is one of the first few luxury hotels that I have first experienced in Singapore - the hotel is one of the best properties in Singapore and it has one of the best swimming pools and club lounges in the Lion City. While I have previously stayed in a Club Marina Bay Room back in 2015, I was interested to check it out once again since The Oriental Club has been recently refurbished. Check out my latest review of the Club Marina Bay Room here at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Singapore with an impressive view!

Hotel Review: The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong (Club Deluxe Victoria Harbour Room) - World's Highest Hotel

When I visited Hong Kong in November (2016) last year, I traveled directly from Haneda on ANA's Boeing 787 Dreamliner (787-900) product in Business Class (check out my review of ANA's Business Class here!). While the hard product was very good, I can't help but to feel that the service on-board Singapore Airlines in Business Class was consistently better. In any case, I was pretty excited to check out the World's Highest Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong after paying so much for a club room there. Check out my review of this luxurious property with sweeping views of the city.
