Marina Bay Sands takes home MICE and Retail awards in 2015
Singapore's most impressive integrated resort, the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) took home three major awards for its success in MICE, Retail and Sustainability at the prestigious Singapore Experience Awards 2015 that is organised by the Singapore Tourism Board. This is the second consecutive win for The Shoppes at MBS and a third for the MICE category (2012 and 2013 previously).
The success of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands have also been noticed and admired overseas - the mall took home Silver in the 2015 Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards ceremey that was held in Taipei last week for its work in “Marketing Excellence, Public Relations & Events”.
The Marina Bay Sands has also long been a forerunner in the MICE industry as it houses Singapore's largest and most versatile meeting spaces. In the year of 2015 alone, the integrated resort has hosted four of the largest flagship conferences in Singapore:
- Jeunesse Global Expo Unite Annual World Conference
- Best World Convention 2015
- Oriflame Diamond Conference 2015
- Forever Living Global Rally 2015 (over 7,000 delegates were in attendance)
The Sands Expo and Convention Centre has also been busy in recent weeks with events like the Sibos 2015 (one of the world's leading financial services event) and ITB Asia 2015 (Asia's leading travel trade show). To end the year off on a high note, Marina Bay Sands will be transformed into the Official Games Village for over 3,300 athletes and officials for the 2015 ASEN Para Games.
Come 2016, the integrated resort will also be hosting the Airline Passenger Experience Association Meeting and Exhibition in 2016 which will see the attendance of delegates from the world's leading airlines, as well as suppliers and related companies in the aerospace industry. Returning to Marina Bay Sands are also numerous key events such as Tax Free World Association Conference and Exhibition 2016, Maison et Object Asia 2016 and World Cities Summit 2016.
There is a new Hyatt Place opening in Bangkok - Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit 1 (not to be confused with the Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit near Phrom Phong) - and it has already started to accept stay reservations from 13 January 2025.
