If you are a miles collector or simply someone who is looking for a new American Express card to get, consider the American Express® Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Credit Card which comes with a complimentary upgrade to Gold tier in the Changi Rewards Membership (usually requires S$4,000 of spending) and more importantly, receive 5,000 bonus KrisFlyer Miles when you spend S$5,000 in first 6 months upon card approval.
With a Gold Tier in the Changi Rewards Membership, you will receive an additional 2% rebate from the purchases you make in Changi Airport (this includes the public area so you can earn these rebates even when you are not travelling with some exceptions).
This is also a pretty great card if you spend a decent amount on an American Express card. You will earn 1 KrisFlyer mile for every $1.60 charged to the card and if you will earn 50% or 100% more miles if you charge S$5,000 or S$12,000 to it each year.
The new KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card looks great but the only caveat is this - all the 'Accelerated Miles' will only post AFTER your card's membership year. This means to say that you will only expect to see your bonus miles next year!
Singapore Airlines and UOB have just announced a brand new credit card which offers an attractive earn rate of 3 KrisFlyer miles per dollar on Singapore Airlines (including SilkAir and Scoot) expenses, online shopping, transport and most importantly, dining. The brand new KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card is now available for application online and you can do it very quickly (takes just a minute!) if you have internet banking set up with UOB.
If you are looking for a new credit card and would like to snag up a free Nintendo Switch while you are doing it, tomorrow is a great day to sign-up with SingSaver (with a few caveats you should take note of).
From now until 09 October 2019, cardholders of the American Express Platinum Credit Card (including Platinum Reserve) can enjoy 5 Membership Rewards points per S$1.60 spent at Harvey Norman on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. There is no limit to the number of Membership Rewards points that you can earn from this partnership but you should definitely pick one that is located in a shopping mall with a strong membership program to double-dip on promotions.
American Express has been extremely aggressive in capturing market share here in Singapore - they have unveiled the brand new metal Platinum Charge Card late last year and have continued to roll out amazing deals like the latest Hilton one which gives you S$200 back for spending S$500 (40% cashback!). Today, new-to-American-Express customers can get the American Express Platinum Credit Card for free - this card offers great discounts like 50% off dining discounts as well as complimentary free drinks at some of Asia's best bars.

American Express has unveiled a list of participating merchants where holders of the American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards can earn additional miles every month. Most credit cards points and equivalent miles convert mostly to KrisFlyer (KF) Miles and Asia Miles (AM) in Singapore. It appears that DBS has added Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) as a Point Transfer Partner - members can convert their DBS Points into QFF Points at the same rate as KF and AM (5,000 DBS Points = 10,000 Miles).
New applicants of the Citi Prestige and Citi PremierMiles will receive their credit cards with a brand new card face soon. The new card faces of the two aforementioned cards are introduced to standardise the way cards look and feel across countries. At the time of writing, it is unclear whether new (or changes to existing) benefits will be introduced with the new card face but the Citi Prestige will come in a ‘premium hybrid metal material’ from 15 April 2019.
