Conrad Centennial Singapore to Progressively Rejuvenate Rooms from June 2017
The Conrad Centennial Singapore is probably Singapore's most impressive Hilton property. Consistent to the global brand standards for Conrad hotels, the rooms here in this property are spacious and whilst the facilities and furnishings are carefully maintained, the dated design is definitely in need of a refresh to reposition the property to be in line with newer Conrad hotels around the world. The Centennial Suites here at the Conrad Centennial Singapore are beautiful with plenty of living space - with that said, the layout of the suite has always been baffling to me. As I was 'window shopping' for hotel rooms this evening, I noticed that an announcement has been placed to notify future guests that the hotel will be undergoing progressive rejuvenation works from June 2017 and this is expected to complete by the end of January 2018.

Rumours about guest room refurbishments have been lurking online for the longest time as mockups of the guest rooms (and suites) spread like wildfire over the internet. It is safe to say that the Conrad Centennial Singapore who has just celebrated her 20th birthday last year is finally sprucing up the guest rooms to more better equipped to take care of modern travellers in years to come. At this stage, it is unclear whether or not the final design of the rooms and suites will be in line with the mockups but I do personally believe that the property would be spending plenty of money to create a brand new look within the rooms to compete with newer hotels that are opening up over Singapore.
The room rates here at the Conrad Centennial Singapore have been relatively low (especially when you compare it to the Conrad Hong Kong) and one thing is for certain - the completion of refurbishments will definitely send the average rack rate of this 5-star property upwards.
There is a new Hyatt Place opening in Bangkok - Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit 1 (not to be confused with the Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit near Phrom Phong) - and it has already started to accept stay reservations from 13 January 2025.
