Cool Cats and Fish Pool from The NCO Club to Join Chillax Programme by American Express

If you love a tipple or two in the evening, the Chillax Programme by American Express is a great reason to get The Platinum Card (which comes with an extensive suite of benefits). Platinum and Platinum Reserve Credit Card holders also enjoy the same Chillax benefits and from the list of participating bars in Chillax Bar Hop 2018, it appears that two new bars will be joining the program soon - Cool Cats and Fish Pool from The NCO Club (yes, that’s the one at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach).

At the time of writing, it is unclear what the actual offer will be and the Chillax Bar Hop 2018 does promise a surprise destination at the end of the night which could or could not be another participating bar but I guess time will tell. I believe that the offer for Cool Cats (which I have visited once and really liked the Mescal Negroni) and Fish Pool will follow the rest of the Chillax Merchants in either offering a second beverage free or a complimentary drink with any purchase. An educated guess will probably see the Cool Cats offering a second cocktail free with the Chillax program but I would be interested to see whether Fish Pool offers a second glass of LR Champagne free (in which case, you will see me there a lot!).

Barring the lower miles accrual rate, American Express credit cards (as well as charge cards) have excellent benefits with great value - the savings are often up to 50% off which is a lot better than the 10% sympathy discount that a lot of other credit cards in Singapore offer. If you are a serious traveller or someone who enjoys the finer things in life for a discounted price, I highly recommend The Platinum Card and all the benefits it comes with.
