Access to Platinum Vibes for American Express Platinum Members Extended Until 30 June 2019
The American Express Platinum Card is probably my personal favourite card that I have applied for in 2018 - the S$1,712 annual fee may put most people off but the perks are great and you can truly get your money's worth if you use the benefits that come with the card. One of the most interesting benefits that comes with the American Express Platinum Card is access to PLATINUM VIBES which is a members-only space that is created for Centurion and Platinum Members.

The lease for this beautiful space (located on level 2 of the Marina at Keppel Bay) has been extended until 30 June 2019 and members (Centurion and Platinum Charge Card only) will continue to enjoy a complimentary welcome drink each day - they will also be able to bring unlimited guests with them but reservations are definitely encouraged. There are rumours that American Express is currently searching for a slightly-more accessible location so we will probably see PLATINUM VIBES moving in Q3 2019 but until then, enjoy that marina view and those ultra-affordable RP90 wines curated by Park90. Food will probably be provided by Saint Pierre (only) moving forward but I will definitely share more once changes have been reflected online. PLATINUM VIBES is also now closed on Sundays (it only opens from Wednesdays to Saturdays) but operating hours have been extended from 12:00PM to 12:00AM except for Wednesdays (5:00PM to 12:00AM).
American Express Singapore has announced a significant devaluation to the Membership Rewards programme effective 23 February 2026. Transfers to major airline partners like Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific will require 25% more points, while transfers to Emirates will require 50% more. A temporary foreign currency spending bonus for Platinum Card members has also been announced.
