New Entrants and Exits to American Express Chillax Program in 2020 - Free Drinks for Platinum Members

The Chillax Program from American Express allows Platinum Members (including those that hold credit card versions) to enjoy a complimentary beverage across leading bars in Singapore. Last week, I noticed that Smoke & Mirrors has exited the program and it appears that more bars have pulled out from this exclusive partnership this year. On the bright side, American Express has also added a few new entrants to the Chillax Program so it is not all doom and gloom.

In addition to Smoke & Mirrors which left the system earlier this year, there are seven more bars that have exited the American Express Chillax Program and they are as follows:

  • Nutmeg & Clove

  • Court Martial Bar

  • Fish Pool

  • Cool Cats

  • Madame Fan

  • Amrith by The Song of India

For whatever reason, the partnership between JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach and American Express has ended and all four participating bars have been discontinued from the program. There were 17 participating bars in the American Express Chillax Program at the end of 2019 and now, there are only 12 locations (inclusive of three new additions). The three latest bars to join the program (where you can enjoy exclusive drink benefits) are the following locations: 

  • The Bar at 15 Stamford (located in The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore)

  • The World is Flat (located in Jewel Changi Airport) 

  • Bar on 5 (located in Mandarin Orchard Singapore)
