New Seasonal Menu on Qantas First and Business
With over 19 years of working history, Qantas and internationally-renowned Australia Chef Neil Perry and the Rockpool Group will bring a refreshed winter menu (01 June to 31 August 2016) to feature fresh and in-season ingredients. The Rockpool team designs both in-flight menus for the premium cabins as well as the International First, Premium and Business lounges.
With an ever-changing seasonal menu for summer, autumn, winter and spring, Qantas will also pair the new menu with wines and create monthly cocktails together with the Rockpool Group that travellers in the premium cabins (or those with status) can take advantage of!
In the First Class cabin, Qantas offers a 7-course tasting menu on A380 flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Dubai, London, Los Angeles and Dallas or Fort Worth. Notable new dishes include the following:
- Seared blue eye with shaved fennel, snow peas, lemon and olive oil
- Duck a l’orange with spaetzli and grilled broccolini
- Rockpool Bar & Grill style Noalan scotch fillet with celeriac and potato gratin
In the Business cabin, Qantas offers a 'mix and match' menu that allows travellers to pick from a menu of small and large plates. This is an alternative to the usual in-flight menu which is still available on-board as well. Notable new dishes between Singapore and Australia include:
- Baked gnocchi alla Romana with tomato and basil sugo, braised silverbeet and olives
- Lamb biryani with dhal masala and cashews
- Green curry of ling with eggplant, beans, Thai basil, fried eschalots and steamed rice
Business Class passengers now enjoy complimentary inflight Wi-Fi when traveling on Cathay Pacific.
