The Standard Chartered X Credit Card has an annual fee of S$695.50 but you will get 30,000 welcome miles typically (credited to the X Card account in the form of 75,000 360° Reward Points) upon payment of an annual fee (you will also need to activate the card within 30 days from the card approval date). At 2.3 cents per mile, this is definitely not the cheapest way to obtain miles in Singapore but if you are looking for a metal credit card for general spending, applying for it via this unique SingSaver link (it will redirect you to Standard Chartered) will get you an additional 10,000 bonus miles - this means that you will get 40,000 miles from just S$695.50 which brings your CPM down to 1.74 cents!

The 40,000 welcome miles that you get with the Standard Chartered X Credit Card is on top of the base earn rate - you will get the welcome bonus miles as long as you apply via one of the links on this article, and pay the annual fee. As a quick reminder, the Standard Chartered X Credit Card earns you 1.2/2.0 miles per dollar on eligible local/foreign currency spend but all Standard Chartered X Credit Cardholders will be able to earn 3 miles per S$1 (spent in a non-SGD currency), with no cap, if they spend a minimum of S$2,000 per promotional period (or calendar month) from now until 30 June 2020.
