IHG to open Hotel Indigo in Sydney opposite Capitol Square - Hotel Indigo Sydney Central
A management agreement has been signed between the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Watson Elite for Sydney's first Hotel Indigo which is slated to open in 2021. The third Hotel Indigo property planned for Australia (following the Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley as well as Hotel Indigo Melbourne Docklands), Hotel Indigo Sydney Central, will be located opposite Capitol Square in the central precinct of Sydney.

Consistent to brand standards, the decor of the Hotel Indigo Sydney Central will reflect local culture by integrating materials, colour palette and custom pieces from local artists, photographers and furniture makers. From the outside, a wing cantilevered out over the adjacent heritage-listed Corporation Building and a grand artwork are set to be distinctive external features for the hotel. The property will have 168 rooms (inclusive of five suites) and it will feature a 24-hour gym, 840 square foot meeting space, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, Rotunda Bar, as well as Tinderbox Espresso Bar.
